About Me

"Sports are the reward of a functioning society and with platform comes privilege"

The scoreboard isn't everything. Born and raised on a military base overseas, I was brought up under the notion that service is a lifetime commitment. As I covered the University of Georgia Women's Basketball team as a beat reporter in 2020, while serving as the UGA Chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People President, I saw firsthand the intersection of sports and social justice. The game itself lends platform to individuals and as a someone who gathers information and redistributes it, I never take for granted my own platform and ability to produce multimedia content geared with bringing community together.

I was recipient of the 2021 McGill medal for journalistic courage at the University of Georgia for my work in the Athens-Banner Herald covering local sports and politics.

Thus far in my career I have photographed fans on behalf of the Atlanta Hawks, commentated for Morgan County's high school baseball team, and produced a weekly studio sports broadcast at UGA covering Northeast Georgia sports.

I currently run social media for the co-owner of the WNBA's Atlanta Dream, creating graphics and content to engage and promote discussion in the venue of sport. I also shoot social media videos for Athens Academy's high school girls' basketball team, further building a sense of community through my work and compiling memories to look back upon for athletes and fans alike to revisit.

I am a firm believer that everyone has a story and adds value in some way. As a storyteller in various forms whether it be written, video or audio, I give platform to individuals immersed in sport and social causes. With video recaps and written articles, I can elevate the reach and overall sense of community for those cover.

The English Angle produces multimedia content with the intent of capturing moments in sport as a service to empower athletes and spectators in and outside the arena. Founded in 2022 in Northeast Georgia, the English Angle shoots community sport events for vertical video reels, sit-down interviews, and article production.
